"What goes on in your innermost being is worth all your love, this is what you must work on however you can and not waste too much time and too much energy on clarifying your attitude to other people."
~ Rainer Maria Rilke
Perhaps, it is not so much a matter of ‘wasting time’. Could it be that my overwhelming desire to ‘clarify my attitude’ (tell my story) is nothing more than a thinly veiled attempt to make you wrong? And, as long as you are ‘wrong’, as long as I can blame you, I will never be in a true position of strength, my birthright. Knowing that there is no wrong or right, knowing that you could never hurt me, allows me to finally take my place. The crucifixion, the event that shaped 2000 years of our cultural and moral universe, taught exactly that: "forgive them for they know not what they do" is a radically freeing statement of the ultimate release of all tendency (an oh so ‘human’ tendency) to stay in the warm, smelly bath of victimhood. I am worth it. If I am worth it so are You!
